Compsognathus was a small carnivorous dinosaur that lived in Europe during the Jurassic period 151 million years ago. It was the smallest known dinosaur, at only 2-3 feet tall and weighing around 6-7 pounds, with sharp teeth, a long tail, and long legs that allowed it to hunt small mammals, lizards, and insects. Fossil evidence suggests it preyed upon smaller lizards.
