The document describes the development of a new magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) adsorbent called polyDOPA@Ag-MNPs for the analysis of trace beta-blockers in biological samples. PolyDOPA@Ag-MNPs were synthesized by reducing silver ions on the surface of magnetic nanoparticles coated with poly(3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine). The adsorbent was able to isolate beta-blockers from sample matrices using a magnetic field.
