“Whatever good we see in our world today is because of
an educative mind behind it”.
World Students’ Day every year is celebrated across the
globe, that is on October 15. The day is marked to
celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. It
was first celebrated in 2010 in United Nations on Dr APJ
Abdul Kalam’s birthday when he was 79 years old. The
day is celebrated to pay honor to the students from all
across the globe for their hard work, dedication, and
determination. Today we honour India's most loved
President by students. His work as an educator, a
President and the missile man is quite an extra ordinary
one.
Dr. Kalam was the author of three
books and recipient of several awards
including Padma Bhushan, Padma
Vibhushan, Bharat Ratna, Veer
Savarkar Award, Ramanujan
Award. He was also called 'Missile
Man of India' for his work on the
development of ballistic missile and
launch vehicle technology. Many
educational institutes, scientific
institutions, and some locations were
named after his death.
Dr. Kalam stated that students should hold an aim in life and
acquire knowledge through all possible sources. They should
put in hard work and never accept defeat by the problem, and
always defeat the problem and gain success.
The insightful academician and
source of motivation for many,
Kalam, passed away due to cardiac
arrest on July 27 in 2015 at IIM
Shillong while delivering a lecture.
His words and quotes still find
relevance today and provide
motivation to many.
APJ Abdul Kalam's love for students, finds best voice
when he said, "Dream, Dream, Dream, Dreams
transform into thoughts. And thoughts result in
action." He had also further said, to students, "If you fail,
never give up because FAIL means 'first attempt in
learning'."
The difference between
ordinary and extraordinary is
that little extra.” “Let your
unique awesomeness and
positive energy inspire
confidence in others.”
“Wherever you go, no matter
what the weather, always bring
your own sunshine.” “If you
want light to come into your
life, you need to stand where it
is shining.”
