World Students' Day is celebrated annually on October 15th to honor students globally and to celebrate the birthday of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India. Known as the "Missile Man of India" for his work developing ballistic missile technologies, Kalam was a strong advocate for education who believed students should pursue knowledge from all sources and never accept defeat. He passed away in 2015 while delivering a lecture, but his inspiring words on the importance of dreams, hard work, and perseverance continue to motivate many students.
