This study explores how future time perspective (ftp) influences job crafting, work engagement, and job performance, examining both open-ended and limited ftp as distinct constructs. Findings indicate that employees with an increasing open-ended ftp tend to enhance job resources and challenging demands, which in turn boosts their engagement and performance, while those with limited ftp do not actively reduce hindering demands, leading to decreased work outcomes. The research highlights the significance of ftp in motivating proactive job crafting behaviors and its implications for understanding employee well-being and performance.
