Krka National Park - is one of
the Croatian national parks, named
after the river Krka that it encloses. It
was formed to protect the Krka River
and is intended primarily for scientific,
cultural, educational, recreational, and
tourism activities. It is the
seventh national park in Croatia and
was proclaimed a national park in 1985.

Krka National Park is managed by the Public Institute, under the jurisdiction of
the Ministry of Environmental and Nature Protection of the Republic of
Croatia. The activities of the Institute include protection, preservation and
promotion of the national park, for the purpose of protecting and conserving
the natural resources, and supervising the implementation of environmental
protection measures within the protected area.
Krka National Park is located on the territory of Sibenik-Knin and covers an
area of ​​109 sq. km along the Krka River: 2 kilometers downstream from Knin
to Skradin and the lower part of the Chikola River. Krka Park is spacious, with
natural value. The Krka waterfalls area has the second highest density
lavender in Europe and a large number of bees and wasps.
