  • #5 You are your brand. Peoplebuy from people they know, like and trust. Your website is a reflection of that. Thinking about yourself as a brand is how you get started with all that. Your copy should be as close to how you would talk as you can reasonable make it. Knowing your why – what makes you stand out in the crowd is key to your brand. The more you are yourself – the more people identify with you and know they want to work with you. And the more you attract your ideal customer. Fear will be there. Many fear they aren’t going to be successful or not able to make money or effort will be a waste. Be kind to yourself. Fear is normal don’t let it hold you back.Questions to ask to narrow down your brand:-Who are you? What words do you use to describe yourself? -How do others see you? What words do they use to describe you?-Why do you do what you do? What motivates you? What drives you?
  • #6 You can’t call what you are doing a business unless you are making money. The following are questions, when answered, will help you narrow down your business model and structure. Money needs a purpose. Money needs clarity.Business & lifestyle – what do you desire to have? How much money do you want to make? How much money do you want to make a month? Week? Year? At what point will you be able to quityour job? What will you do with the money you earn?Business model – How will you get the money to come in? How will you make the money? Affiliates? Ebooks? Online programs? Packages? Programs?Business structure – What insurance, accountant/bookkeeper/ all registrations completed, licenses, etc. do you need to complete?Wealth consciousness – How are you growing and expanding your belief about money? Book suggestions: Think and Grow Rich, Money- A Love Story.
  • #7 Opt in creation – for list building. A free gift you give someone when they sign up for your newsletter. Something only you can be offering people. An opt in is a way to grow your list. Auto-responders – when people opt in they receive a sequence of newsletters – the purpose is to fully engage with your audience. It helps guide people to popular blog posts and products and servicesNewsletters – helps you to grow your audience and your reach. Once a week is best practice. Recommend no less than twice a month.Offline networking – this is communicating and building relationships with people in your community. Questions for building you audience:-What great opt in can you create that only you can offer?-How can you encourage people to spread your message via auto-responders?-How often will you send out a newsletter? What content will you put in the newsletter that entices readers to open it?-How and who can you meet face-to-face in your community?
  • #8 Content schedule & Marketing plan – making a list of things you want to post about. Have a schedule and content you want to post on a specific day. Social media – very similar to content and marketing plan – your social media content will often reflect your content schedulePrivate FB groups – it might take a while to find the right FB group, establishing yourself as an expert, being friendly, answering questions, build relationships.FB ads – are great for grow reach. It is paid. If done the right way it can be very beneficial. They can be $3-$5 per lead. The idea is to get them to opt in to your email. Guest posting & interview – select blogs you admire and ask if you can write a guest post. Also interviewing others on your site. Hopefully, they will share your interview with their list. Questions to move you forward to grow your reach:-How often will you post? Have you created a content schedule?-What social media outlets are you utilizing? Are there others you can use?-Have you created a content schedule for your social media marketing?-What Facebook groups are you a part of that build your reach?-What kind of Facebook ad could you place which would draw in subscribers?-Do you have a list of favorite blog or like-minded people you could contact for interview?
  • #9 Non-sleazy sales— you have to let people know you are selling something in order to make money. Writing sales copy – look at sales copy you like, use it as a model, include your passion about your service/product.Strategy sessions – get comfy having the sales conversation. Webinars for promo – great addition to grow reach and subscriber list.Hosting sold out events – Promotion, promotion, promotion.Questions to encourage you to sell in a way you are comfortable with:-Are you letting people know you have something they need or could help them?-Does your sales copy reflect your sincere message? Does it reflect your why?-Create a script for the sales conversation – practice it on friends/family.-Do you have a list of ideas you could teach/discuss/present in s a webinar?-Have you created a way promoted your events? Who can you get to help promote your events? Other blogs? Contacts?
  • #10 Writing your story – I am currently writing my book. It’s part how to/part memoir. This offers people a chance to get affordable information about you, what you offer and who you are.PR & Media opportunities – increase credibility, positions you as an expert in the field.Creating must watch video – another way to reach people, good way to get to another medium. Podcast - is for the listener, not the reader or watchers.Webinars & joint venture – have a partner is a good way to double your exposure or triple – depending on the number of people involved. Questions about gaining popularity:-Have you written your story? Are you comfortable sharing your story?-Have you created a list of media opportunities you would like to be interviewed?-Do you have any video you can post? Have you practiced creating even short videos related to your brand?-Do you have any favorite podcast broadcasters you could collaborate with? Have you explored taking video/webinar content and creating a podcast?-Do you have a list of colleagues you would like to do a webinar or have a joint venture with?
