OBJECTIVES:
● TO IDENTIFY THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF A HOUSE
● TO ACQUIRE NEW VOCABULARY ABOUT THE HOUSE
● TO DEVELOP THEIR LISTENING COMPREHENSION SKILLS
MATERIALS:
● FLASHCARDS - PHOTOCOPIES OF EXERCISES - VISUAL PEGS
ACTIVITIES:
ACTIVITY 1:
Presentation of new vocabulary: rooms in a house.
ACTIVITY 2:
Match the numbers to the names of the rooms.
Student teachers will give each student a set of photocopies with a picture of a house. The
students will have to match with numbers each room of the house with its name.

ACTIVITY 3:
Oral practice.
Student teachers will take pictures of the members of the Simpson family and the students
will have to stick them out in a poster, depending on the oral instructions offered by the
trainees.

● Macro-skills: Listening, Speaking.
● Timing: 15´
ACTIVITY 4:
Draw lines as you listen to the teacher.
In the same picture of the house there will be images with the members of the Simpson
family. The students will have to match each member with a room of the house depending
on the teacher’s instructions.

ACTIVITY 5:
Presentation of new vocabulary: Objects in a house.
ACTIVITY 6:
Find the objects in the picture.
In the same way as the previous activity, the students will have to identify the objects
distributed in the different rooms of the house.

ACTIVITY 7:
Put the objects in the box under the right room.
Student teachers will give each student a set of photocopies with the different rooms of the
house. The students will have to put the objects learned in the right room of the house.

EXTRA - ACTIVITY:
Reading Game.
Student teachers will organize the class in 6 groups and give each of them a set of
photocopies with the image of a house and some instructions. The students will have to
draw furniture in the house depending on the instructions provided.
