Resource Sharing and Networking it is very common for libraries to be a member of several consortia at the same time for various types of cooperative work and resources sharing. The best examples of these are the OCLC Online Computer Library Center.
Information Technology Development In Present scenario knowledge management system in Library should be library built on existing computer and information technology infrastructures, including upgraded intranet, and Internet, and available software programs to facilitate the capture, analysis, organization, storage, and sharing of internal and external information resources for effective knowledge exchange among users, resource persons, publishers, government agencies, businesses and industries, and other organizations via multiple channels and layers.
Role of Librarian in this Knowledge Economy Era Librarians support academics in the creation of knowledge  by  developing  and  using  systems and tools to support and facilitate the identification, capture and use of knowledge Librarians work with IT staff as collaborators who have expertise in technology platforms to share knowledge.  Learning technology and professional development staff have expertise in the sharing of tacit knowledge as well as the conversion of both explicit and tacit knowledge within the learning environment.
