Michael Babker from the Joomla Production Leadership Team presented on new features and changes in Joomla 3.3 including improved security with bcrypt password hashing, two-factor authentication, reduced use of Mootools in favor of jQuery, improved router performance, microdata integration, cloud storage APIs, and Joomla framework integration. He noted the roadmap for beta, release candidate, and final release of 3.3 in April 2014 and encouraged participation in testing and marketing.
