  • Molly Burkeis a very inspirational girl. She comes to every We day and she is involved with a lot of Me to We events. She is also involved with Free the Children. She has been on a few trips with Me to We. Molly burke is blind for the rest of her life. She was bullied when she was younger. Spencer West and Molly Burke

  • Molly wasdiagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa at the age of 4. This disease is the reason she is blind. Molly can see if a room’s lights are on or off. Because of that she can tell when it is night time or day time. Molly did not become fully blind until she was at the age of 14. Over the years Molly’s vision was getting worst but, her confidence and optimism was getting stronger.

  • Molly startedpublic speaking at the age of 5. Her speeches are about what she has been through with her bullying and her story about becoming blind. Molly has inspired millions of people and children with her story around the world. One thing that Molly says to people that are being bullied is that “That you are not alone, you can get through it and it does get better.” Molly has been to many different events to do public speaking such as We day, Me to We, Free the Children and many other events.

  • Molly when sheturned blind she started to get really badly bullied. Molly faced a tune of depression in High School because of people bullying her. One day when she had a broken leg the girls that were bullying her came up to her and said they wanted to take her somewhere. She thought that they were being nice but before she knew it they were taking her past the gravel field, past the grass field and down to the forest. When they got to the forest the girls pushed her down into the mud and ran away with her crutches. Luckily she had her phone and she called her mom and she came and picked her up. Molly after that never went to school again and began home school. Because of that molly was much happier because no body was there to bully her. Before she left school she was at a private school . After being at home school and learning how to be blind, she went to a normal school for grade 11 and 12. Then she graduated from that school. The bullies that bullied her never said sorry to her but they did say they were happy for her.

  • When mollywas younger she had a lot of friends. She was not blind for all of Elementary school but was blind for half of High school. In Elementary she was a normal kid she could see and played sports and everything. But when she turned 14 and turned blinded her world was totally different. She couldn’t do all the things she did before because she couldn’t see. Also, she couldn’t play any sports because she couldn’t see. At school she was treated differently then she used to be. People thought she was weird and they should not hang out with her. Because of that she started to have no friends and that is when she started to get bullied.

  • After MollyGraduated high school her brother asked her to come with him to a Free the Children talk. That talk was what started the whole thing with her and helping these programs. After that she went on and went on a couple of Me to We trips to go and help other kids. Also that was what inspired he to start speaking at We day. Also in that talk they talked about Silent Day. That was also what interested her to help out with silent day and be a big helper to inspire kids around the world.

  • I thinkthat I did pretty well in this project. I did stay on topic in class when we were working about it. Also, in class I tried really hard to finish on slide a time. In this I knew a lot of Molly Burke before because I had met her before and heard about her story. Also, she was at We Day and talked more about her story. One of the most interesting things about blind people to me is that their eyes are still open but they cant see. I really liked doing my Passion Project on Molly Burke she is a very inspirational women.
