Can VR solve crimes from a net café? Stick figures in: Madness IX By: John Hajjar
One day, Mr. Walker wanted to enjoy the view from the top of a tall building… Hmm what a nice view
Then, a random terrorist appeared out of nowhere… YOU SON OF A GUN!!! YOU KILLED MY CAT!!! ????
All of a sudden, the random terrorist pushed him off the building... Wait… I think I left my cat back at Kazakhstan… Oh well… WTF?! I NEVER KILLED ANYONE!!
A few minutes later… The police came and investigated the scene. Oh Great… just my luck… well whatever I cant do anything about it now
Then they gathered up all of the information they can get including a footage of a building roof camera that recorded the whole scene. Great another one bites the dust
Meanwhile… The police created a virtual world out of all of the information they gathered up and posted a link on the net.
Somewhere at the other end of the world… Internet cafe What a messed up day… ill just chill in there.
In the café, there was a “post-it” taped up on each computer… Be sure to check the following website and help out the police solve a crime. You might be rewarded if you do a good job. Plz frwrd this message
Everyone around the world started receiving this message and soon after, a group of young gamers solved the problem… HOLY SMOKES MAN!!! I THINK I SOLVED IT!!! No way dude…
The gamers that solved the crime reported to the police station and claimed their prize… Police station Alright bro here’s the answer now where’s my prize??
The police officer killed the gamer and looked at the picture he took with the answer to the crime on it… Police station There's your prize… now lets see who killed that old geezer.
The police officer took a look at the picture and guess who killed Mr. Walker??
That ‘s right! It was the random terrorist! How unexpected! Well this was just an example of how VR is able to help in police investigations. Although the story isn't a very “professional” example, it provides us with a good idea of how it would work in real life. And it also shows that anyone, anywhere is capable of solving things that even a genius might never be able to solve. Stay tuned for Madness X
And kids… don’t try this at home  The End…..
