Together we reach the goal.
Concern no. 1
How to increase usability and easiness of AADHAAR without
compromising the privacy of people?
Major problem:
• Aadhaar-enabled Payments System (AePS)
• Personal integrity
• biometric information
• tool for profiling and surveillance.
Possible solutions:
• AePS should also include retina scan or facial recognition with existing
fingerprint system to avoid banking fraud as replication of fingerprint could be
easily manage.
• People should get authority to whom they would like to share their aadhaar
information. Through app, people could share information whom they like to.
• biometric information should be secure in one database.
• Private companies should not be shared every details of people and instead
only data which is useful for them.
• People’s data should be access only to top line employees in government
companies.
• People, especially poor and rural, should be made aware about how aadhaar
would avail them every benefits and subsidies which government proposes
for them.
Concern no. 2
How to increase reach of AADHAAR especially in remote parts of
country?
• By creating awareness campaign in area where there is no or less
technological advancement
• By hiring person per village to register unregistered village into database.
• Hired person assigned for rural areas should be provided laptop with
biometric scan devices.
• Connect all the gram panchayats and Tehsils to a central system database
to the sure that even the people of the remote areas are connected to the
AADHAR system
Concern no. 3
How to make AADHAAR model to be financially self sustainable
and independent?
In recent years Aadhaar has achieved a large scale adoption but still there are many
regions in India which are far from reach for Aadhaar card. There are many ways
through which we can make AADHAR’s financial model self-sustain:
• We can increase fees from Rs.50 to Rs.100 for issue of new Aadhaar card for urban
people and no change of fees in rural areas.
• Government should also add new clause to renew Aadhaar in every 3 years and it
should be charged Rs10 from people in urban areas. And free for people living in
rural and tribal areas. This will help in two ways:
Firstly, it will help to verify individuals every three year.
Secondly, it will also generate funds for Aadhaar itself.
Concern no. 4
How to reconstruct AADHAAR HR policy in order to avoid fraudulent activities?
• Strict laws should be made in aadhaar HR policy for avoiding mischievous elements
such as zero subsidy to be available to guilty person , jail terms, heavy fine etc.
• Random check should be held on different aadhaar centres.
• Before selecting aadhaar centre ,it should collect and verify all the information about
the owner running it, employees history and background, their legal history etc
• Helpline no. should be provided to people in case of any suspicious activity noticed in
centres.
• Aadhaar centre’s employees should be trained in order to lower the mistake in
recording people data.
THANK YOU
