Making the 6th Draft of my Front Cover
First of all I removed the red and black background from my plug, placed the word “WIN!!” in
red and the placed this right next to my mast head to make it more eye-catching for the
reader because having the plug in this position will cause more people to watch to see it,
making them more persuaded to purchase the magazine due to the prize you can win.
I then rearranged my features stories by placing the Paramore story directly underneath the
main feature story which then allowed me to add another feature story. I also made all of the
information about the feature stories aligned to the left hand side instead of central to make it
look more like an existing magazine. I also changed some of the font sizes until I was happy
with the layout of my feature stories.
Next, I decreased the size of my barcode as I thought that it was slightly too big for a
magazine and that too much attention was being drawn to it due to its size. I then slightly
moved the feature stories surrounding the barcode as if I didn’t do this there would be a
bog gap between the barcode and the features stories.
