I NEED YOUR HELP TO EQUIP NEARLY 3,000 PASTORS AND WORKERS…
April 5-23, 2010 I am scheduled to be in Davao City, Mindanao, the Philippines, to share the principles
of Intentional Community Evangelism with nearly 3,000 pastors and workers. This will take place during the
annual meeting of the Mindanao Southern Baptist Convention – one of 4 SBC convention entities in the
Philippines. Pastor Jose Fernandez, President of the Pastors Conference issued this invitation to me last year.
In addition to equipping these pastors and workers in evangelism, we will be conducting revival
meetings in several areas where many people will be saved. So the opportunity to impact the kingdom will be
tremendous. Not only will I be reaching people with the gospel, I will be multiplying the effort by helping these
pastors and workers become more effective in personal evangelism.
However, this mission is in danger of being canceled. Financial support has been trickling in for this
project and I have already had to make major cutbacks in plans. Originally, Penny and Jeremy were supposed
to be going with me and we were also planning on going to the island of Negros to work with another pastor.
Now I will have to restrict the mission to the island of Mindanao only. Brian Rietvelt, a member of Quest
Church, will be traveling with me to teach during these conferences.
I need to raise $4,465 before the end of the month in order to participate in this mission. However, I
must raise at least $1,700 of this before March 19 in order to purchase my airline tickets and pay my passport
renewal fee.
Will you invest $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or some other amount in the lives of these pastors today?
