By looking atmy preliminary masthead I can see that I used a font and colour from publisher.The colour I decided to use does not make the masthead look professional especially because there is a glow around the masthead. However now looking at my final masthead I can see that I have made a vast improvement as the masthead now looks more professional.The font that I have decided to use is also a lot more better.

Aim of thepreliminary task ■ The aim of the preliminary task was to design a school magazine, in which I had to make a front cover and a contents page.At first I began researching and looking at past candidates work for inspiration. I had no set plan but I knew that it is important that people are aware straight away that it is a school magazine when they see the front cover.This is why I ensured that the student was in full school uniform.
- 5. Aim of mymain task ■ The aim for my main task was to create a music magazine of a genre o my choice. I chose a genre that I am familiar with and that I like which is rap music. Likewise I believe that it is important that people are aware genre the magazine is just by looking at the front cover, so I made sure the model wore clothing such as Nike and that they made the right facial expressions.

Looking back atmy preliminary and looking at my final task I can see that I have made a dramatic improvement.The front cover for my preliminary task was made on publisher and the front cover for my final product was made on InDesign. By me using InDesign it has made my final product look much more professional as it has more editing tools. The biggest improvement that I have made was the layout of my magazine front cover. For my preliminary task I did not think much about the layout of my work and my cover lines seem to be all over the place. Although for my final magazine I don't have any masthead I do have a headline and the whole look of the magazine look a lot more professional.The overall look for my preliminary task was poorly executed and thevimage used is not professional.

- 9. ■ For mypreliminary I can see that I did have a colour scheme but the whole look of the contents page looks very unprofessional and very plaine.There is too much white spacing.After researching more about the conventions of a contents, I was able to improve my final contents page drastically.They layout of my contents page is much more conventional and it is much more structured. I also made sure I included thing in my final contents page which I failed to do so in my preliminary task such as, a date, images, social media.
