Mobile learning is the future of eLearning as smartphones and tablets have become ubiquitous. Most companies have already or plan to include mobile devices in their eLearning strategies. Effective mobile learning considers questions like content format, offline usage, and tracking progress. Standards like HTML5 and the TinCan API help create responsive content across devices and track learning across platforms. For successful mobile learning, companies should lower barriers, optimize for performance on mobile, and ensure a consistent user experience regardless of device.

What should be mobile – learners, content, devices? Which additional value will your learners have because of mobile? Which specific problem does mobile solve for learners? How would learners use mobile devices? Who runs and manages those devices? Which parts of a blended learning experience should be on a mobile device?
