Mood boards are visual collages of images, colors, textures and materials created to convey a particular style or atmosphere. They are commonly used in interior design to showcase potential concepts for renovations or new decor by providing homeowners with a simplified visual guide of fabrics, paint colors and other elements. While quick and easy to envision, mood boards can lack detail and may not appeal to all who prefer written descriptions over visual representations.
