- 2. The main genre for our film is Christmas, the sub genres include: comedy, action and children's. This means we have a lot of genre conventions that we can look at and must include in our film, it also means a lot of films will and have influenced us in the making of our film. This is why we have a moodboard, it helps us visualize what our film will contain, and really sets the atmosphere for the film to help us make the right decisions when filming it.
