Morocco and Turkey are two of the best places to visit in the Muslim world for several reasons: they are located at the crossroads of two continents, have rich histories and cultures, and great food. Morocco in particular has over 36 million residents and its largest cities are Casablanca and Rabat. It has a diverse landscape that includes the Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert. Morocco also has a long history dating back to Arab conquest in the 700s-800s and was a French protectorate until independence in 1956.
