This document summarizes an MSc thesis that identifies modal parameters of a Vestas V27 wind turbine using operational modal analysis. Acceleration data from the turbine was collected during a measurement campaign. An aeroelastic model of the turbine was created in HAWC2 to simulate its behavior. Modal analysis was performed on both the real and simulated data using stochastic subspace identification. Results were compared to those from a linear stability tool. Tower and rotor modes were identified, though some challenges were encountered that may be related to rotor anisotropy.
