  MY AUDIENCE PROFILE Holly Keer

  Who are they? •My target audience will be a relatively individualistic, possibly slightly mainstream at times because they often enjoy listening to radio stations such as Radio 1. However they will prefer to listen to more acoustic music such as Mike Dignam and Birdy. • The age of my chosen audience will vary, ranging from sixteen years old upwards, cutting off around forty. There is no particular gender either because acoustic/easy-listening music is enjoyed by men and women. • They will fall between A-C on the jicnar scale and will take pride in their work, being aspirers. They will be openly intelligent without verging on the edge of arrogance, simply enjoying education instead of bragging about themselves. • My audience will drift in and out of a hedonistic life however they are more laid-back and will have fun doing more chilled activities. This, however, does not mean they dislike going out to parties or meals, and

  Who are they? • My audience won’t have strong opinions on their music taste and will appear to have a very carefree attitude; this may mean they could suddenly favour a cover of a song even if they aren’t fans of the artists themselves. • They will often shop on the high street at places such as H&M and Republic, however they will also own certain branded clothing from Urban Outfitters, Obey and Two Seasons. • My audience will like to be considered as original but will not be concerned if someone disagreed. • They will keep fit and focus on their health to an acceptable extent, taking part in fitness activities like running and surfing. They will often refer to these as hobbies instead of ‘going to the gym’. • My audience may also experiment with music themselves, especially acoustic covers of well known songs.

  Who are they? •They enjoy watching a wide variety of films ranging from independent films such as Juno and Welcome To The Rileys to more mainstream films like The Hangover. • My audience very rarely take part in internet piracy; they tend to take pride in certain CDs that they can play in their cars rather than on their iPods. They will often be found in HMV browsing. • My audience frequently have easy-listening music playing throughout their house because of their dislike of uncomfortable silence. Their most played album will most likely to be Ed Sheeran. • Additionally, they will also be interested in long-term relationships, the wild single life being relatively unattractive for them. However not all of them will be in a relationship but may just desire one.
