Mystery of the bermuda triangle
The Bermuda Triangle is a region in the western North Atlantic Ocean where numerous aircrafts and ships are alleged to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. It is bounded roughly by Miami, Florida, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the island of Bermuda. Estimates of how many incidents have occurred in the Bermuda Triangle over the past 500 years range from about 200 to over 1,000. Some of the more famous disappearances include the USS Cyclops which vanished in 1918 with 309 crew members, five US Navy bombers that went missing in 1945, and a commercial passenger plane that disappeared in 1948 when it was only 50 miles from Florida. - 10. Atlantis • Somepeople believe that the strange phenomena is caused by the lost city of Atlantis. • The city was believed to be powered by crystals and it is thought that these crystals cause the strange disappearances.

- 12. The Gas Theory • The Bermuda Triangle is situated over a large oceanic trench. • It is believed that this trench occasionally releases gas which lowers the density of the water. Because of this change, boats can no longer float.
