This document summarizes a study on strengthening subgrade soil using RBI Grade-81 stabilizer. Samples of subgrade soil containing 0-8% RBI Grade-81 by weight were tested. Tests showed that with only 2% additive, the soil's liquid limit decreased while plastic limit increased, reducing plasticity. Maximum dry density also decreased but the California Bearing Ratio increased significantly from 2% to over 135%, indicating higher strength. Cost analysis found that using only 2% additive reduced the pavement construction cost substantially compared to conventional construction without additive. The study concluded that RBI Grade-81 is an effective and economical soil stabilizer that improves soil strength properties and reduces pavement construction costs.
