- #2 The first learner to experience the Ambassador Project. He Joined Nacro at 16years old (lost and totally disengaged from a disjoined family of 2 generations that never worked) At 17 left Nacro with 2 qualifications a job and a career. We needed a PLATFORM to HELP give all our leaners the same opportunity
- #3 To make sure we could support the learners and the community we need to develop a complete pathway to give them all a chance to re-engage, gain a qualification and become work ready. I had to bring everyone involved in education and the world of work together to create a (pathway) where everyone gets something out of the scheme and everyone puts in.
- #4 I had only been in education for1 year, knowing very little about the education process but did realise that there was a lot more we could do to support our learners in Newcastle (with previous skills sets in developing and transforming dealerships around the world). I knew how to develop a retail supply chain (education pathway) I just had to find and persuade the right people to come on a journey.
- #5 Why wait until the learners are totally disengaged, lets go to the source. I developed a project that we could run ourselves or bolt on to an existing scheme in the area. (BMS build my skills ESH Construction Group)
- #6 BMS build my skills ran by ESH Construction Group, using volunteers from the business community. I joined this and adapted it to the NACRO education road show. I would help deliver sessions for them with the NACRO spin and they would give me site visits for our learners at construction sites across the North East.
- #7 Once at the Schools I would form partnerships and work with teachers to CHAMPION Nacro and the fantastic job we do.
- #8 We would get great publicity and media exposure. Everyone would know all about Nacro.
- #9 One of the projects was design/build and construct a motorised downhill racer. The learners, Schools & Business Communities loved it. It demonstrated the learners skills (STEM)
- #10 Both MV learners and alt heads working together and it can be constructed in classroom ( don’t need a workshop and can be taken round the schools) We are hoping to show case this project at the Great North Event in JULY and get IMI to validate and credit the downhill projects as a qualification (going through the process)

- #14 Partnering with Universities and students to help run and Ambassador project and to strengthen out presence in the area. In return I teach them networking/ event coordination, business skills and put them in front of employers. A way of Universities to gave to the more deprived area’s

- #16 Working with other providers YMCA provided the mini motor bikes. (now they recommend us to all schools for alt head provision in NEWCASTLE). Crises ran a MV course which didn't get off the ground. I got them to donate the equipment to Nacro Newcastle MV £10.000 +. Working together works

- #19 How far Newcastle Nacro has come in 2 years increasing our learners by 40% to 70 so far and still increasing (Newcastle City business and schools did not really know we existed or what we can offer and would not have missed us if we have gone) not anymore the Ambassador Project and our new supporters shout it all over the North East
- #20 Giving our leaners the opportunity to learn new skills and be inspired by the world of work ( business engagement visits) the ambassador project has helped them forage new future
- #21 As the NEET results show their is a young work force out there and working together with NACRO can help support more young people to engage and have the opportunity to a develop future
- #22 People believe that both Mercedes-Benz and Audi are the best in their class, but they are RARELY in the top 10 for customer satisfaction or reliability. NACRO EDUCATION CENTRES AND STAFF ARE THE BEST AND AMBASSADOR PROJECT HELPS DELIVER THAT MESSAGE TO EVERYONE
