Quality Assurance Manager • As the primary quality maintenance program expert onboard a $1 billion nuclear submarine, managed the receipt, handling, issue, and installation of highly controlled materials to ensure the ship continually met the rigorous requirements of the Submarine Safety program, including the training and qualification of all maintenance technicians and supervisors. • Assessed by Submarine Squadron Six as having the premier Quality Assurance program among the six submarines in the squadron, and for demonstrating an uncommonly high aptitude for the overall management of submarine quality maintenance. Engineer Officer (Qualified) • Overall safety and compliance monitor in the controlling station of a nuclear propulsion plant for more than 300 hours of team drills. In this role, responsible for the safe and proper operation of the reactor and propulsion plant during complex and extremely dynamic casualty scenarios. Through effective safety monitoring, all team drills were conducted with 100% training success, and resulted in zero incidents or near- miss events. • Chosen as the primary safety and compliance monitor for an annual reactor safety inspection as a result of being cited by external agencies as being a superior monitor. Citations include the ability to accurately identify problems and effect corrective actions that prevent their recurrence.
