NOTIFICATION
NO: G1 / 1075 / 2012 DATED:13 .07.2012.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for engaging on Contract

basis for the posts of Lecturers in Engineering and Non-Engineering subjects and

Workshop Attendants in Government Polytechnics in the state.

2. Remuneration Payable: a)Lecturers -Consolidated amount of Rs. 19000/- per
mensum.
b)Workshop Attendants -Consolidated amount of
Rs. 7,700/- per mensum.

3. Applications in the format which is available in the website of the Department
shall be submitted to the Regional Joint Directors of Technical Education concerned
so as to reach them on or before 25.07.2012. Applications received in any form
other than the format prescribed will summarily be rejected without any
correspondence thereof

2. Candidates Possessing I Class MCA Qualifications will be considered for the

posts of Lecturer / Computer Engineering to the extent felt short of Candidates

with I Class B.Tech in Computer Engineering. A relaxation of 5 % in marks is,

however, available for SC and ST candidates.

3. Remuneration Payable: Lecturers -Consolidated amount of Rs. 19000/- per
mensum and Workshop Attendants -Consolidated amount of Rs. 7,700/- per mensum.

4. Duly filled in applications in the prescribed format which is given below shall
be submitted to the Regional Joint Directors of Technical Education concerned so
as to reach them on or before 25.07.2012. Applications received in any form other
than the format prescribed will summarily be rejected without any correspondence
thereof

6. The vacancies notified shall be filled in accordance with the orders of government

in vogue as on the date of selection of Contract Lecturers / Workshop Attendants

by the Regional Joint Directors concerned. All the Contract Lecturers / Workshop

Attendants who have worked in any Polytechnic/ Institution in earlier years also

need to apply again with reference to this Notification to be considered for

selection.

7. Provisional Vacancies of Regular Polytechnics and II shift Polytechnics are shown

separately. However the candidates have to submit only one application for the post

in the region in which he intends to apply. Selections shall be made on the basis of

merit and roster point in accordance with orders of Government, in vogue as on date

of selection.

8. The Contractual appointments are purely on temporary basis and are terminated

as and when the selected candidates are made available by APPSC for appointment

against the vacancies in which they are engaged on Contract basis.

PAYMENT:
The persons engaged on contract basis for the post of Lecturers at
Government Polytechnics will be paid a consolidated amount of Rs.19000/- per
mensum. For Workshop Attendants Rs.7700/- per month.

VI. Rule of Reservation:

The rule of Special Representation i.e., reservations for S.Cs/S.Ts/B.Cs and
Women applies for these posts.
In the event of Non-availability of qualified candidates belonging to
S.C/S.T/B.C and Women for consideration against the vacancies reserved for them,
the said vacancies shall be filled up on open competition basis from the merit list
based on their merit.

VII. TENURE:

The contract period ceases by 31.12.2012. Under no circumstances shall
be individual be given any further extension beyond a maximum period of 3
years.

VIII. TERMS OF CONTRACT AGREEMENT:

All persons appointed on contract basis shall execute an agreement on a Non-
Judicial stamp paper of Rs.110/- (Rupees one hundred and ten only) with two
witnesses and furnish the same to the appointing authority concerned at the time of
reporting for duty, agreeing to the terms and conditions of the contract.
