only for its use but enough where it can supply the rest of the world as well. We
use most of our own coal, however, some power plants along the Gulf Coast and
the Atlantic Ocean find it less costly to import coal from nearby countries than it is
to import our own coal to those locations ( U.S Energy Information Administration
). Coal is a naturally occurring resource formed by deposits of decaying plants
from long ago which have undergone extreme heat and pressure. Surface mining
and deep underground mining are the two most basic forms of mining coal.
Surface mining is only economic when the deposits are near the surface, and

Programs Impact Children s Academic Achievment
From the information I gained from my classmate s wikis, many of them include
skill building lessons that incorporate the common themes of increasing children s
social and emotional competency. Like the Roots of empathy program, these
programs all aim to incorporate better understanding and acceptance of differences.
Some of the differences I notice are that a few of these programs also have the
direct goal of trying to improve literacy and academic success, though I believe all
programs like these will impact children s academic achievements positively. From
what I took, most of these programs start in the classroom, and then send lessons or
activities home. Parent involvement is important to the success of all of these
programs and is a huge link to the retention of each of these programs. Many of these
programs teach about positive peer relationships, which to me is a starting point that
lays the foundation for how children will interact with their communities, as they

Biodiversity refers to the variety of genes in the gene pool and since cloning creates

the population because without biodiversity then the whole population has a

Everyone has heard of the notorious robbers Bonnie and Clyde. Most people know
the general story of what happened from the movie produced about them, but few
really understand the morals behind the couple. Just like with most celebrities, their
story has been distorted to for a more entertaining purpose; movies. We as humans,
tend to glorify celebrities, even if they were bank robbers and killers. A major
example of how we glorify celebrities can be seen by looking at historical figures
Bonnie and ClydeBarrow.
In the movie, Bonnie and Clyde are seen as the protagonists of the movie. The way
the directors set up the script makes you fall in love with the characters. It s one
way to get you to feel emotion at the end when, spoiler alert, they are killed. The
movie is set up in a way to get you to sympathize with the characters. If you knew
the real story, you might not feel so sympathetic. Barrow was suspected of numerous

call from a cell phone. Martin Cooper, vice president of Motorola, walked out of a
Manhattan building and made the first cellular network call from a DynaTAC

mobile marketing business. (Cheng, 2013) Cooper s phone call started a trend in
which technology constantly evolves. From the Motorola DynaTAC to the iPhone
5S, the mobile phone has evolved since the large, bulky device made in 1973. The
very first cell phone was released to the public in 1977, and two thousand people
were given free trials of the new technology. These cell phones did not have the
capability to text or play apps. These devices were simply made for calling.

needed a way to connect the two seas so that it could help them to reduce the time
necessary to get from one coast to another and so that other ships could get access to
