Organic farming is an alternative agricultural system that focuses on natural materials and excludes pesticides, fertilizers, GMOs, antibiotics, and growth hormones. It promotes biodiversity and ecosystem health while reducing pollution. Organic farming has advantages like increased soil health and crop resistance, but disadvantages include lower yields and higher prices. In Nepal, organic agriculture faces challenges like a lack of organic inputs and government support, as well as labor requirements. Promoting organic farming requires initiatives to minimize costs, separate training networks, and inclusion in education.
