Over-the-top (OTT) services, like Skype and Netflix, are challenging traditional telecom operators by offering competing voice, messaging, and video services over the internet, often at lower prices. Although adoption in Latin America is limited due to lower technology penetration, OTT services are still affecting telco revenues and traffic. Telecom operators can respond by enhancing existing services, creating their own OTT offerings, and leveraging partnerships to adapt to the competitive landscape.
