This document presents a parametric analysis of a single element U-slot microstrip antenna designed for wireless communication applications, particularly in the X-band frequency range of 8-12 GHz. Utilizing low dielectric constant substrates like FR4, the design process includes calculations for various parameters such as width, dielectric constants, and effective lengths, employing CAD-Feko simulation tools to ensure performance efficiency. The resulting microstrip patch antennas are suitable for diverse applications including GPS, radar, RFID, WiMAX, and mobile communications.
