Abstract The main Magellan spacecraft?s mission objective was to map 70 % of the surface of Venus.
The mission succeeded in mapping 98% of the Venus surface. This paper analyzes the resolution and
timing aspects of the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and radiometer modes of the Magellan spacecraft.
Also, the transmission method of data from Earth to the spacecraft and vice versa is discussed. The
incidence angle effects on the cross track resolution and signal to noise ratio are analyzed. The simple
models of the cross track resolution versus the incidence angle of the SAR and radiometer modes are
derived. The function of the Venus surface emissivity is presented. Next, the resolution element size
(pixel size) is modeled as the function of the spacecraft height.

The Magellan spacecraft (Venus Radar Mapper) was launched by NASA on the 4th of May, 1989. The
main goal of its mission was to map the surface of Venus by employing the synthetic aperture radar

exercise of religion, as an undeniable right, protected by the First Amendment. Easy enough, right
however, it seems can be interpreted in different ways, some depending on what your beliefs are i.e.,
religious or secular. Such as in the legal case of Burwell (U.S. Secretary of Health and Human
Services) vs. Hobby Lobby. Hobby Lobby argued that they should not have to pay for contraceptives
for their employees as part of their healthcare because contraceptives such as the emergency
contraception went against their religious beliefs because is an abortifacient.
I went into this with an open mind as I really didn t follow the case at the time and really didn t know
too much about it. I also did really know too much about what RFRA was from a legal point of view.
To help me fully understand I found the syllabus from this case in which part of the first paragraph

Gambling is a popular and prevalent entertainment and leisure activity among Australians. Over 80%

A hundred years ago, there where over 100,000 (Tigers) in the wild, with more than 40,000 in India
alone. Currently the total number of tigers worldwide is calculated at fewer than 3,500. (Fraser) The
population has dramatically dropped; the main reason is the healing powers of the tiger bone. The
beautiful and beneficial species for decades have been killed for their bones and skin. There are many
different tiger subspecies such as: Amur tiger, Bengal tiger, Siberian tiger, Sumatran tigers and many
more, unfortunately today there are only a few subspecies left. The high demand for the bones and
skins of tigers have not yet settled down, the black market continuously hunts the unprotected animals.
Although the issue is global, it has been unknowingly neglected from the modern society. Many
believe that the species are not endangered when they visit a zoo, but the information states otherwise.
The wild tigers are decreasing in numbers, and some predict that in no time the species will be extinct.
The lack of information one withholds, prevents them from helping and improving the living
conditions of wild tigers. In order to increase the population of endangered tigers, we should use
