The Sanskrit word véd "knowledge, wisdom" is derived from the root vid- "to know".
Veds are claimed to be among the world’s oldest scriptures. The term ‘Ved’ means knowledge, which is the
ulterior idea of the existence of humanity. Veds manifest the cause, function and response of human
existence in a way that promotes liberation or Nirvana. They are concerned with the nature of the Divine
and are not restricted to one particular God or idea. Ancient sages believed that the concept of
‘Veds/Vedas’ has always existed and is beyond the idea of time. Currently vedas are four: Rig Veda,Yajur
Veda, Atharva Veda and Saam Veda.
Bhagvat Gita 15.15: Krishna Says: I am seated in the hearts of all living beings, and from Me come memory,
knowledge, as well as forgetfulness. I alone am to be known by all the Vedas, am the author of the
Vedant, and the knower of the meaning of the Vedas. Krishna said this as Paratma or Supreme God.

Whenever there is motion there is vibration. Sound is energy of vibration. Every sound has geometry to it.
This geometry gives existence to form.
The entire universe is made of vibrations. Therefore, the sound energy is the framework of the
universe. The forms we see in the universe are produced by underlying vibrations.

Divine Revelation: The Vedas were not composed by humans but were revealed to the great sages
(Rishis) in their consciousness.
The Vedas are considered apauruṣeya, meaning "not of human origin". They are believed to be eternal,
divine revelations of cosmic truths heard by ancient sages (rishis) during deep meditation. The rishis were
the seers (dhrishta) who perceived these eternal truths in a state of deep spiritual connection to
cosmic mind, rather than creating the Vedic hymns themselves.
"By the Vedas no books are meant. They mean the accumulated treasury of spiritual laws
discovered by different persons in different times".
The knowledge was passed down orally from guru to disciple, with emphasis on accurate recitation and
memorization to maintain integrity of texts. This is why Vedas are also called Shruti ("that which is heard").

Most of the Sanatan/hindu scriptures are done through
Shurti (Sanskrit means "that which is heard"). Śrutis have been variously
described as a revelation through anubhava (direct experience),they have
been referred to as apauruṣeya (not created by humans).
Smriti (memory). Smriti literally "that which is remembered," refers to
body of Hindu texts usually attributed to an author, traditionally written
down but constantly revised, in contrast to Śrutis (the Vedic literature)
considered authorless, that were transmitted verbally across the
generations and fixed.

The Veds(Vedas), meaning “knowledge,” are the oldest texts of Hinduism. Veda means the sum total of
eternal truths; the Vedic Rishis experienced those truths. Rishi as he is called in the Upanishads is not an
ordinary man, but to whom religion is not merely book-learning, not argumentation, nor speculation, nor much
talking, but actual realisation, a coming face to face with truths which transcend the senses. Passing of
Vedas began as an oral tradition that was passed down through generations.
The Hindu view of the universe is that of a cyclic phenomenon that comes into existence and dissolves
repeatedly. Each kalpa cycle is presided over by a number of Manus, one for each manvantara, and
each manvantara has a number of Yuga Cycles, each having four yug ages of declining virtues; by whom, in
the respective periods, the Ved has been divided into four. During every Dvapar Yug of the present
Vaivasvat Manvantar, different Vyasas have divided the Veds twenty - eight times.
Swami Vivekanand expresses the opinion that Vyas may not have been a single person but a lineage of
sages who were content to simply develop the ideas without claiming credit, as they were free from desire
for the results of their work, and hence attributed the authorship to Vyasa.
Vishnu Purana, like all major Puranas, attributes its author to be sage Veda Vyasa.
Vyasa is also regarded as the compiler of the mantras of the Vedas into
four Vedas, as well as the author of the eighteen Puranas and the Brahma
Sutras. According to the Vishnu Purana, Kurma Purana, and Shiva Purana, a
different Vyasa comes at the end of each Dvapar Yug to write down ved
(knowledge) to guide humans in the degraded age of Kali Yuga.

Kurma Purana Purva Bhaga Chapter 52 gives this data;

Initially, the Rigved was divided into twentyone branches, while the Yajurved was divided into a
hundred branches. Thereafter, Vyas, distributed Samaved into a thousand branches. Atharvaved too
was also distributed into nine branches. Besides this, Vyasa composed eighteen types of the Puranas.
Thus in the ancient times there had been a single Veda, which was subsequently divided into four parts. If we
add the total Shakhas of Veda we come to know that originally there were about 1130 Shakhas. Only about
12 - 13 Shakhas of Vedas are surviving. It means about 98% Shakhas of Vedas are lost upto now.
With sage Gautam’s curse at the advent of Dwapara Yuga, much of the knowledge was lost amongst राज
ऋ ष (devout kings), the knowledge of ऋ ष with advent of क ल युग (kali yug), became feeble because of
weakness in our ability to memorize, remember and understand things.स काल नेह महतो योगो न ट: परंतप –
भगवत गीता With passage of long periods of time, the knowledge gets mutilated.
The Saam Ved had the highest number of shakaas/ branches/ recensions, 1000.
In the Rig Veda there were 21.In the Yajus 109 (Shukla/White Yajur Veda – 15 and Krsna/Black Yajur Veda-
94).And in the Atharv Ved - 50.Visnu Purana mentions the number of Shaakaas to be 1180; another
scholar says there were 1133 shaakaas. During 5000 years or more since Veda Vyasa divided the Vedas,
many Saakhaas have been lost.
Veda True Essence Hidden In Secrecy

Sages who are able with divine intuition to read not the surface meanings, but the true essence of
Vedic thought, declare these scriptures a timeless source of knowledge touching on all secular as well as
religious arts and sciences. — Paramahansa Yogananda
One of the most common statements in later Vedic texts
extending to the Upanishads is Parokṣa priya hi devāḥ
pratyakṣa dviṣah The Gods are fond of indirect statements
and dislike the evident. The Vedic language is a paroksha
language, referring to one of implied meanings that
dislikes evident statements. This statement in itself should
be enough for us to look at the Vedas with a deeper vision.
If we look at the Vedas with a greater poetic and yogic
insight, cosmic dimensions emerge in almost every verse
of this great compilation of seer wisdom.
Scriptures of the world, which reflect a deep poetic vision, claim several levels of meaning including
meanings that are esoteric. Vedas as mantric poetry should be looked at in same way, containing
secret implications, in which ordinary objects can take on cosmic connections. Rigveda mentions
four levels of speech, three of which are hidden in secrecy. Four are the levels of speech that are
measured, these the wise sages know. Three hidden in secrecy, they cannot manipulate, only with
the fourth level of speech do humans talk. Dirghatamas Auchatya, Rigveda I.164.45
Vedas or Ved - Hidden By A Veil
Source : Vedas – The Veda - In the Light of Sri Aurobindo
The Ved was the beginning of our spiritual knowledge; the Veda will remain its end. These compositions
of an unknown antiquity are as the many breasts of eternal Mother of knowledge from which our
succeeding ages have all been fed. The recovery of the perfect truth of the Veda is therefore not merely a
desideratum for our modern intellectual curiosity, but a practical necessity for the future of the human
race. For I believe firmly that the secret concealed in the Veda, when entirely discovered, will be found to
formulate perfectly that knowledge and practice of a divine life to which the march of humanity, after
long wanderings in the satisfaction of the intellect and senses, must inevitably return."- Sri Aurobindo
I seek not science, not religion, not Theosophy, but Veda—the truth about Brahman(Universe and
beyond), not only about His essentiality, but about His manifestation, not a lamp on the way to the
forest, but a light and a guide to joy and action in the world, the truth which is beyond opinion, the
knowledge which all thought strives after — yasmin vijïate sarvam vijïatam . I believe that Veda to be the
foundation of the Sanatan Dharma; I believe it to be the concealed divinity within Hinduism—but a veil
has to be drawn aside, a curtain has to be lifted. I believe it to be knowable and discoverable. I believe
the future of India and the world to depend on its discovery and on its application, not to the
renunciation of life, but to life in the world and among men.— Sri Aurobindo (Essays Divine and Human,
Vol. 12)

‘Finally, the incoherencies of the Vedic texts will at once be explained and disappear. They exist in
appearance only, because the real thread of the sense is to be found in an inner meaning. That thread
found, the hymns appear as logical and organic wholes and the expression, though alien in type to our
modern ways of thinking and speaking, becomes, in its own style, just and precise and sins rather by
economy of phrase than by excess, by over-pregnancy rather than by poverty of sense. The Veda ceases to
be merely an interesting remnant of barbarism and takes rank among the most important of the world’s early
Scriptures. 'CWSA, Vol. 15, pp. 1-9, Shri Aurbindo
The ritual system recognized by Sayana may, in its externalities, stand; the naturalistic sense discovered by
European scholarship may, in its general conceptions, be accepted; but behind them there is always the
true and still hidden secret of the Ved — the secret words, niṇyā vacāṁsi, which were spoken for the
purified in soul and the awakened in knowledge. The name borne by them was Ved, the
knowledge—the received name for the highest spiritual truth of which the human mind is capable.
But if we accept the current interpretations, the modern theory, is a colossal fiction. The hymns are, on
the contrary, nothing more than the naive superstitious fancies of untaught and materialistic
barbarians concerned only with the most external gains and enjoyments and ignorant of all but the
most elementary moral notions or religious aspirations. To make this discovery will be the sole way of
getting at the true sense and the true value of the Ved. We must … accept the Rishi’s description of
the Ved’s contents as “seer-wisdoms, secret words”, and look for whatever clue we can find to this
ancient wisdom. Body of esoteric meaning in the Ved … is there deliberately hidden by a veil.
Ved Esoteric Meaning - Hidden By A Veil
Source : Sri Aurobindo on the Secret Sense & Mystery of the Vedic Symbols (circumsolatious.blogspot.com)
‘For it is a fact that the tradition of a secret meaning and a mystic wisdom couched in the Riks of the ancient
Veda was as old as the Veda itself. The Vedic Rishis received Mantras which were inspired from higher
hidden planes of consciousness and contained this secret knowledge. The words of the Veda could
only be known in their true meaning by one who was himself a seer or mystic; from others the
verses withheld their hidden knowledge. In one of Vamadeva’s hymns in the fourth Mandala (IV.3.16) the
Rishi describes himself as one illumined expressing through his thought and speech words of
guidance, “secret words”—niṇyā vacāṁsi—“seer-wisdoms that utter their inner meaning to the
seer”—kāvyāni kavaye nivacanā. The Rishi Dirghatamas speaks of the Riks, the Mantras of the Veda, as
existing “in a supreme ether, imperishable and immutable in which all the gods are seated”, and he adds
“one who knows not That what shall he do with the Rik?” (I.164.39) …. Elsewhere in the Riks the Vedic
Word is described (X.71) as that which is supreme and the topmost height of speech, the best and the most
faultless. It is something that is hidden in secrecy and from there comes out and is manifested. It has
entered into the truth-seers, the Rishis, and it is found by following the track of their speech. But all
cannot enter into its secret meaning.
Reality, ekaṁ sat, or tad ekam, which became the central word of the Upanishads. The Gods, the powers
of Light and Truth are powers and names of the One, each God is himself all the Gods or carries
them in him: there is the one Truth, tat satyam, and one bliss to which we must rise. But in the Veda
this looks out still mostly from behind the veil. There is much else but this is the kernel of the doctrine.'
Veda Esoteric Meaning - Hidden By A Veil
Source : Sri Aurobindo on the Secret Sense & Mystery of the Vedic Symbols (circumsolatious.blogspot.com)
‘Vedic religion spoke of the highest Truth, Right, Law of which the gods were the guardians, of the
necessity of a true knowledge and larger inner living according to this Truth and Right, as also of the
home of immortality to which the soul of man could ascend by the power of truth and right being.
Vedic Rishis speak of this as ritasya panthah, the path of the Truth. In one of the vivid descriptions of the
spiritual realisation, Vamadeva records, “Vanished the darkness, shaken in its foundation; heaven
shone out; upward rose the light of the divine Dawn; the sun entered the vast fields be-holding the
straight things and the crooked in mortals. Thereafter indeed they awoke and saw utterly; then indeed
they held in them a bliss that is enjoyed in heaven, ratnam dharayanta dyubhaktam. Let all the gods be in all
our humans, let there be the truth of our thought, O Mitra, O Varuna.”
The deeper and esoteric meaning of the Ved was reserved for initiates, for those who were ready to
understand and practise the inner sense. It was inner meaning, and the highest psychic and spiritual
truth concealed by the outer sense, that gave the Vedic hymns the name by which they are still known,
Ved, the Book of Knowledge. Only in the light of this esoteric sense can we understand the full flowering.
Mystical interpretation and the infinite wisdom contained in the Vedas is still not known to many people

‘If the translators only paid attention to the interpretative mechanisms within the tradition, they wouldn’t be so
wrong. The tradition says that the understanding has three layers:
• ādhibhautika आ धभौ तक (related to the body)(Relating to the Elements of nature)
• ādhidaivika आ धदै वक (related to cognitions within the mind) (Relating to the Gods, deities )
• ādhyātmika आ याि मक (related to ātman, or consciousness)(Relating to the Self/individual being)
In order to explain the secret of the Veda, the very first mantra of the Ṛigveda. अि नमीळेपुरो हतंय यदेवं
ऋि वजं |होतारंर नधातमम ् ||(ṚV. 1.1.1). Here’s the translation people see on the Internet: I laud Agni, the
chosen Priest, God, minister of sacrifice, The hotar, lavishest of wealth. (translated by Ralph T.H. Griffith)
Agni is fire, but how can it be Priest, God, minister of sacrifice, etc. And why is it important to have a
priest or minister of sacrifice? What is the meaning of sacrifice? To get to deeper meaning, we must first
understand who Agni is. To the uninitiated, Agni is the physical fire that one can see. But deeper
meaning of Agni is the light (or spark) within that lifts the veil on the lamp of consciousness; yet
another meaning is Vāc(speech). Agni and Vāc are two manifestations of the same deeper reality.
In the individual, Agni is mainly speech, but not simply the vocal organ, all powers of speech and
articulation, pranic fire and digestion fire. At the cosmic level Agni is the Sun or the supreme light at
highest level in cosmos through which the sun shines. In the material world, Agni is the element of
fire. In the Vedic sacrifice Agni is the priest of the invocation or Hota, who calls the Gods. In the inner
sacrifice, Agni is the soul that brings the Divine into us.

Moon is knowledge mind, sun is body as it gives energy to body and also DNA activation. DNA has all the
vedas knowledge in them. Body has the divine knowledge but can only be processed by the mind. So
cutting it means you are in the Maya or worldly desire but cut off from being divine.
Rahu and Ketu are celestial bodies often regarded with fear, known as
shadowy planets, and referred to as the North and South Node of the
Moon. Rahu represents the head, while Ketu symbolizes the tail of the
serpent. These planets, although lacking physical existence, hold
significant sway over individuals' lives and destinies. Representing
karma and past life events.
Rahu and Ketu play a crucial role in spiritual awakening by guiding
individuals towards liberation or Moksha from the cycle of birth and
death. The interplay between these celestial forces introduces
challenges and teachings along the spiritual journey. Rahu's emphasis
on desires may lead to attachment and suffering, while Ketu's
inclination towards detachment can result in isolation and sense of
detachment from the material world. Balancing these forces is key to
achieving harmony and enlightening spiritual awakening.

Vedic Scriptures Lost Source: scripture - Can it be precisely known exactly how much amount of Vedas has been lost? - Hinduism Stack Exchange Kurma Purana Purva Bhaga Chapter 52 gives this data; । (Kurma Purana 1.52) Initially, the Rigved was divided into twentyone branches, while the Yajurved was divided into a hundred branches. Thereafter, Vyas, distributed Samaved into a thousand branches. Atharvaved too was also distributed into nine branches. Besides this, Vyasa composed eighteen types of the Puranas. Thus in the ancient times there had been a single Veda, which was subsequently divided into four parts. If we add the total Shakhas of Veda we come to know that originally there were about 1130 Shakhas. Only about 12 - 13 Shakhas of Vedas are surviving. It means about 98% Shakhas of Vedas are lost upto now. With sage Gautam’s curse at the advent of Dwapara Yuga, much of the knowledge was lost amongst राज ऋ ष (devout kings), the knowledge of ऋ ष with advent of क ल युग (kali yug), became feeble because of weakness in our ability to memorize, remember and understand things.स काल नेह महतो योगो न ट: परंतप – भगवत गीता With passage of long periods of time, the knowledge gets mutilated. The Saam Ved had the highest number of shakaas/ branches/ recensions, 1000. In the Rig Veda there were 21.In the Yajus 109 (Shukla/White Yajur Veda – 15 and Krsna/Black Yajur Veda- 94).And in the Atharv Ved - 50.Visnu Purana mentions the number of Shaakaas to be 1180; another scholar says there were 1133 shaakaas. During 5000 years or more since Veda Vyasa divided the Vedas, many Saakhaas have been lost.

Veda True EssenceHidden In Secrecy Source : Decrypting Vedic Symbolism (thehinduportal.com), The Essence of the Vedas (yogananda.com.au) Sages who are able with divine intuition to read not the surface meanings, but the true essence of Vedic thought, declare these scriptures a timeless source of knowledge touching on all secular as well as religious arts and sciences. — Paramahansa Yogananda One of the most common statements in later Vedic texts extending to the Upanishads is Parokṣa priya hi devāḥ pratyakṣa dviṣah The Gods are fond of indirect statements and dislike the evident. The Vedic language is a paroksha language, referring to one of implied meanings that dislikes evident statements. This statement in itself should be enough for us to look at the Vedas with a deeper vision. If we look at the Vedas with a greater poetic and yogic insight, cosmic dimensions emerge in almost every verse of this great compilation of seer wisdom. Scriptures of the world, which reflect a deep poetic vision, claim several levels of meaning including meanings that are esoteric. Vedas as mantric poetry should be looked at in same way, containing secret implications, in which ordinary objects can take on cosmic connections. Rigveda mentions four levels of speech, three of which are hidden in secrecy. Four are the levels of speech that are measured, these the wise sages know. Three hidden in secrecy, they cannot manipulate, only with the fourth level of speech do humans talk. Dirghatamas Auchatya, Rigveda I.164.45

Vedas or Ved- Hidden By A Veil Source : Vedas – The Veda - In the Light of Sri Aurobindo The Ved was the beginning of our spiritual knowledge; the Veda will remain its end. These compositions of an unknown antiquity are as the many breasts of eternal Mother of knowledge from which our succeeding ages have all been fed. The recovery of the perfect truth of the Veda is therefore not merely a desideratum for our modern intellectual curiosity, but a practical necessity for the future of the human race. For I believe firmly that the secret concealed in the Veda, when entirely discovered, will be found to formulate perfectly that knowledge and practice of a divine life to which the march of humanity, after long wanderings in the satisfaction of the intellect and senses, must inevitably return."- Sri Aurobindo I seek not science, not religion, not Theosophy, but Veda—the truth about Brahman(Universe and beyond), not only about His essentiality, but about His manifestation, not a lamp on the way to the forest, but a light and a guide to joy and action in the world, the truth which is beyond opinion, the knowledge which all thought strives after — yasmin vijïate sarvam vijïatam . I believe that Veda to be the foundation of the Sanatan Dharma; I believe it to be the concealed divinity within Hinduism—but a veil has to be drawn aside, a curtain has to be lifted. I believe it to be knowable and discoverable. I believe the future of India and the world to depend on its discovery and on its application, not to the renunciation of life, but to life in the world and among men.— Sri Aurobindo (Essays Divine and Human, Vol. 12)

Ved Esoteric Meaning- Hidden By A Veil Source : Sri Aurobindo on the Secret Sense & Mystery of the Vedic Symbols (circumsolatious.blogspot.com) ‘Finally, the incoherencies of the Vedic texts will at once be explained and disappear. They exist in appearance only, because the real thread of the sense is to be found in an inner meaning. That thread found, the hymns appear as logical and organic wholes and the expression, though alien in type to our modern ways of thinking and speaking, becomes, in its own style, just and precise and sins rather by economy of phrase than by excess, by over-pregnancy rather than by poverty of sense. The Veda ceases to be merely an interesting remnant of barbarism and takes rank among the most important of the world’s early Scriptures. 'CWSA, Vol. 15, pp. 1-9, Shri Aurbindo The ritual system recognized by Sayana may, in its externalities, stand; the naturalistic sense discovered by European scholarship may, in its general conceptions, be accepted; but behind them there is always the true and still hidden secret of the Ved — the secret words, niṇyā vacāṁsi, which were spoken for the purified in soul and the awakened in knowledge. The name borne by them was Ved, the knowledge—the received name for the highest spiritual truth of which the human mind is capable. But if we accept the current interpretations, the modern theory, is a colossal fiction. The hymns are, on the contrary, nothing more than the naive superstitious fancies of untaught and materialistic barbarians concerned only with the most external gains and enjoyments and ignorant of all but the most elementary moral notions or religious aspirations. To make this discovery will be the sole way of getting at the true sense and the true value of the Ved. We must … accept the Rishi’s description of the Ved’s contents as “seer-wisdoms, secret words”, and look for whatever clue we can find to this ancient wisdom. Body of esoteric meaning in the Ved … is there deliberately hidden by a veil.

Ved Esoteric Meaning- Hidden By A Veil Source : Sri Aurobindo on the Secret Sense & Mystery of the Vedic Symbols (circumsolatious.blogspot.com) ‘For it is a fact that the tradition of a secret meaning and a mystic wisdom couched in the Riks of the ancient Veda was as old as the Veda itself. The Vedic Rishis received Mantras which were inspired from higher hidden planes of consciousness and contained this secret knowledge. The words of the Veda could only be known in their true meaning by one who was himself a seer or mystic; from others the verses withheld their hidden knowledge. In one of Vamadeva’s hymns in the fourth Mandala (IV.3.16) the Rishi describes himself as one illumined expressing through his thought and speech words of guidance, “secret words”—niṇyā vacāṁsi—“seer-wisdoms that utter their inner meaning to the seer”—kāvyāni kavaye nivacanā. The Rishi Dirghatamas speaks of the Riks, the Mantras of the Veda, as existing “in a supreme ether, imperishable and immutable in which all the gods are seated”, and he adds “one who knows not That what shall he do with the Rik?” (I.164.39) …. Elsewhere in the Riks the Vedic Word is described (X.71) as that which is supreme and the topmost height of speech, the best and the most faultless. It is something that is hidden in secrecy and from there comes out and is manifested. It has entered into the truth-seers, the Rishis, and it is found by following the track of their speech. But all cannot enter into its secret meaning. Reality, ekaṁ sat, or tad ekam, which became the central word of the Upanishads. The Gods, the powers of Light and Truth are powers and names of the One, each God is himself all the Gods or carries them in him: there is the one Truth, tat satyam, and one bliss to which we must rise. But in the Veda this looks out still mostly from behind the veil. There is much else but this is the kernel of the doctrine.'

Veda Esoteric Meaning- Hidden By A Veil Source : Sri Aurobindo on the Secret Sense & Mystery of the Vedic Symbols (circumsolatious.blogspot.com) ‘Vedic religion spoke of the highest Truth, Right, Law of which the gods were the guardians, of the necessity of a true knowledge and larger inner living according to this Truth and Right, as also of the home of immortality to which the soul of man could ascend by the power of truth and right being. Vedic Rishis speak of this as ritasya panthah, the path of the Truth. In one of the vivid descriptions of the spiritual realisation, Vamadeva records, “Vanished the darkness, shaken in its foundation; heaven shone out; upward rose the light of the divine Dawn; the sun entered the vast fields be-holding the straight things and the crooked in mortals. Thereafter indeed they awoke and saw utterly; then indeed they held in them a bliss that is enjoyed in heaven, ratnam dharayanta dyubhaktam. Let all the gods be in all our humans, let there be the truth of our thought, O Mitra, O Varuna.” The deeper and esoteric meaning of the Ved was reserved for initiates, for those who were ready to understand and practise the inner sense. It was inner meaning, and the highest psychic and spiritual truth concealed by the outer sense, that gave the Vedic hymns the name by which they are still known, Ved, the Book of Knowledge. Only in the light of this esoteric sense can we understand the full flowering. Mystical interpretation and the infinite wisdom contained in the Vedas is still not known to many people

Veda Esoteric Meaning- Hidden By A Veil Source : The Secret of the Veda. Most people are perplexed about the… | by Subhash Kak | Medium, Decrypting Vedic Symbolism ‘If the translators only paid attention to the interpretative mechanisms within the tradition, they wouldn’t be so wrong. The tradition says that the understanding has three layers: • ādhibhautika आ धभौ तक (related to the body)(Relating to the Elements of nature) • ādhidaivika आ धदै वक (related to cognitions within the mind) (Relating to the Gods, deities ) • ādhyātmika आ याि मक (related to ātman, or consciousness)(Relating to the Self/individual being) In order to explain the secret of the Veda, the very first mantra of the Ṛigveda. अि नमीळेपुरो हतंय यदेवं ऋि वजं |होतारंर नधातमम ् ||(ṚV. 1.1.1). Here’s the translation people see on the Internet: I laud Agni, the chosen Priest, God, minister of sacrifice, The hotar, lavishest of wealth. (translated by Ralph T.H. Griffith) Agni is fire, but how can it be Priest, God, minister of sacrifice, etc. And why is it important to have a priest or minister of sacrifice? What is the meaning of sacrifice? To get to deeper meaning, we must first understand who Agni is. To the uninitiated, Agni is the physical fire that one can see. But deeper meaning of Agni is the light (or spark) within that lifts the veil on the lamp of consciousness; yet another meaning is Vāc(speech). Agni and Vāc are two manifestations of the same deeper reality. In the individual, Agni is mainly speech, but not simply the vocal organ, all powers of speech and articulation, pranic fire and digestion fire. At the cosmic level Agni is the Sun or the supreme light at highest level in cosmos through which the sun shines. In the material world, Agni is the element of fire. In the Vedic sacrifice Agni is the priest of the invocation or Hota, who calls the Gods. In the inner sacrifice, Agni is the soul that brings the Divine into us.

DNA has all the vedas knowledge in them. Body has the divine knowledge but can only be processed by the mind. So cutting it means you are in the Maya or worldly desire but cut off from being divine. Rahu and Ketu are celestial bodies often regarded with fear, known as shadowy planets, and referred to as the North and South Node of the Moon. Rahu represents the head, while Ketu symbolizes the tail of the serpent. These planets, although lacking physical existence, hold significant sway over individuals' lives and destinies. Representing karma and past life events. Rahu and Ketu play a crucial role in spiritual awakening by guiding individuals towards liberation or Moksha from the cycle of birth and death. The interplay between these celestial forces introduces challenges and teachings along the spiritual journey. Rahu's emphasis on desires may lead to attachment and suffering, while Ketu's inclination towards detachment can result in isolation and sense of detachment from the material world. Balancing these forces is key to achieving harmony and enlightening spiritual awakening.

Vedas or VedAre Amongst the Oldest Scriptures Source : Western Quotes about Vedas (aryasamajhouston.org) Oh blessed land of Hind(India) thou art worthy of reverence for in thee has God revealed True Knowledge of Himself. What a pure light do these four revealed books afford to our mind's eyes like the (charming and cool) lustre of the dawn? These four, God revealed unto His prophets (Rishis) in Hind.(Hind means Hindustan modern India) And He thus teaches all races of mankind that inhabit His Earth. 'Observe (in your lives) the knowledge I have revealed in the Vedas' for surely God has revealed them. Those treasures are the Saama and Yajur which God has published. O my brothers! revere these, for they tell us the good news of salvation. The two next, of these four, Rik and Atharva teach us lessons of (Universal) brotherhood. These two (Vedas) are the beacons that warn us to turn towards that goal (universal brotherhood). Sheltering under their lustre dispels darkness till eternity. (Translation of the Arabic Poem by Lavi-an Arabic Poet) .This poem was written by Labi-Bin-E- Akhtab- Bin-E-Turfa who lived in Arabia around 1850 BC. That’s almost 2300 years before Mohammed.
