PDHPE aims to encourage participation in healthy lifestyles and physical activity. It focuses on the physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development of students. The five essential life skills of moving, problem solving, communication, interaction, and decision making are developed to benefit students currently and in their future. PDHPE promotes healthy choices, relationships, self-understanding, and knowledge of how to care for one's body. It also informs students on safety in key areas like roads, cyber, and swimming.
