• 2.
  Quick Selection Tool •I used this tool for selecting my background for my front cover before I needed to inverse it. I used this tool as it allowed me to select all of the background quickly.
• 3.
  Blur tool • Iused this blur tool to blur out my background of my front cover to allow me to have the main focus on my three models. I used ‘Gaussian blur’ on around 3-4 to it was blurred a little but not too much.

  Magic Wand Tool •I used this tool multiple times throughout my Photoshop process. I used this tool to select the white backgrounds of my mastheads and my text so I could then delete the backgrounds. I had to select every individual white part between all letters such as ‘o’ ‘p’ etc.

  Magic Eraser Tool •I used this tool straight after I had used the magic wand tool. I used the magic eraser tool to remove the white background from in between/around all of the text.

  Brush Tool • Iused the brush tool when i was checking I had got rid of every bit of background around my models for my photos. This tool allowed me to delete small details and get them back if I made a mistake. I used the colours white and black which indicated which one I needed to be on to get rid of the background details.

  Gradient Tool • Iused this tool for my contents page and double page spread. I used the gradient tool to do a fade of blue to white across my pages. I did this diagonally for both of my pages to make it go from blue to white from corner to corner.

  Colour Boxes • Thecolour boxes allowed me to choose the colours I needed at various points. I used them for choosing the colour of my background and I also used them when I was removing unnecessary details from my images.
• 9.
  Zoom Tool • Iused the zoom tool for multiple parts of the process as it was not zoomed in enough for me to see some details therefore the zoom tool allowed me to see the parts I missed to ensure I got every detail.
• 10.
  Hand Tool • Thehand tool helped me when I was editing my pictures and I had finished one part so I used to hand tool to move in the different directions to get to different parts of my image.
