  Picture inspiration I havechosen to use other Rock magazines as inspiration for my magazine since I am making a Rock magazine as well. The front covers displayed above, is how I want to design my magazine and which colours I want to use. I want a simple and clean front cover with less unnecessary elements.

  Picture Inspiration This pageis only for inspiration, but I want a group of people on my double spread page.

  Font inspiration Master headline: Iam using this font and style as my Master Headline because I feel it will stick out and it will be easy to read from far away. The font is black and hard, but also features less angular letters. This relates to the genre rock. Main Text (14) Main Text (14) Main Text (14) Main Text (14) Main Text (14) I am using this font for my main body of the text, because it is easy to read and it is not to thick or thin. Under master headline: I am using this font and style as a line under the Master Headline because I feel it will make the magazine stick out and seem different from other magazines. I am choosing to edit this font bright red or black because it will make the magazine different.

  Colour inspiration I havechosen to use the colours black, white and red because they are very common in the rock music genre and they make the magazine stick out from the other genres.

  Picture planning Models For myfront cover, I want to use a medium shot of a girl with brown or darker hair to emphasize the rock feeling. She will be wearing a rock/ band t-shirt and some jewellery . For my double spread page, I will take photos of a band that is playing in the streets of York. On my contents page, I will take pictures of two people wearing a big denim shirt and a lather jacket, some jewellery and Dr.Martin`s shoes. I want one sitting down, looking in the camera and the other one standing behind. Costumes I will need a rock/band t-shirt in black or grey and some gold bracelets fro my front cover. For my contents page, I will use two people , both wearing dr. martins. One of them will wear an oversized denim shirt and the other one will wear a lather jacket. Props Rarely any rock magazines uses props in most of their photos , so I have decided not to use any either in both my contents page or my front cover. On my double spread page I will take pictures of a band playing in the streets and will therefor use the props that`s used in the street. Location I will shoot my front cover in a studio with a light background. For my contents page, I want a black to white fade in the background. In my double spread page, I want a group picture outside that fills up one and three quarter of both pages, so I have decided to take pictures of a band playing in the streets of York. I will combine that picture with a close-up of the vocal singer and make one of them in black and white.

  Double spread pagelayout inspiration These two pictures are only used for inspiration. I will use two pictures for my double spread page: one featuring the whole street band and one with only the vocal singer. The pictures will be taken in the town to show them in action. I will use a big Headline and drop caps in the article. I will also use highlighted quotes. The page will feature both black, white and red text to get variation.
