How perfect would it be if you could get all the nutrients you need from your perfect junk
food? Unfortunately, wedo not live in a perfect world. However, the food industry higher ups
have tried to convince us otherwise with these pointless grocery store snacks.
Grocery Store No-No’s
*Keep an eye out for PART 2 of this Toilet Tip
Uncrustables – Smucker’s took a normal snack and packed it full of
high-fructose corn syrup and heart damaging oils, while leaving out all
the healthy fiber that fills up.
Instead: Quit being lazy and take two minutes to make your own
sandwich.
Bakeables Potato – An overpriced food that you heat up in the
microwave, plastic and all. When plastic is heated, it can release
harmful chemicals that leach into your food. Not to mention, each
potato costs about $1.50…
Instead: For $6 you can buy a bag of 12 potatoes – a much better deal.
Gushers – Although the box claims to be a good source of Vitamin C, it
fails to mention “good source of high fructose corn syrup and
potentially toxic food dyes”.
Instead: Grab an orange, tangerine or strawberries which are sweet and
all high in Vitamin C.
Mio Water Enhancer – Sure it makes your water taste good but it
contains propylene glycol… the same ingredient used to make plastics
and to keep paint from drying out.
Instead: Mix things up by adding a slice of lemon or frozen/fresh berries
to your water to add some REAL natural flavor!
Vitamuffin Vitatops – The perfect example of a junk food trying to
disguise itself as being healthy. Although these muffins are only 100
calories, they are full of nothing that will fill you up. Aka, pointless
calories.
Instead: Grab a high fiber bar or protein bar for a quick morning snack.
