Political instability in Pakistan can be traced through seven distinct eras since 1947, alternating between military-led and elected governments. The research objectives are to identify the main causes of political instability in Pakistan and find a stable form of government. Literature divides Pakistan's political history into six periods characterized by different dynamics between 1947 and 2007.
