Post- Production

Speed duration on premiere developed from GCSE. Used this when 4 girls were walking
(GCSE). Didn’t use this at AS as it wasn’t relevant. A2- skills developed, used in the party
scene and 360 degree turn.
Also new breaking 180 degree rule.
It was innovative and new which supports E4 , increased drama and suspense (conveyed
the message to the audience).
Wasn’t conventional however represents characters well and supported to the storyline.
Paragraph 3
Photoshop
Selection tools- used previously at GCSE but had very limited knowledge on this.
A2 selected me and Jamie from all 4 characters, Ancil 1 represented to the audience
Through costume, props and facial expressions. This creates personal identity for the
audience, this is conventional of a magazine front cover.
Media language
Paragraph 4
Other skills developed
Premiere- colour correction, AS used it in police scene (blue lighting) enhanced.
This was conventional of that institution, but for A2 used white balance instead skills
advanced to create verisimilitude, conventional of a soap. Photoshop- image
adjustments, blurred background from thumbnail images- representation of
characters to audience, removed background, cover image, conventional.
Conclusion
Skills have developed more- can think about post production skills before production
stage. More confident using this software to make production conventional of
institutions and allowed me to represent characters to the audience well.
