Term – I
1. A – Z , a – z, Two letter word, three letter word. 1-100, One – Fifty, Count
and Write, Circle the numbers, Shapes, My self , My school ,
Communication.
2. Drawing ,Coloring figures, Craft making etc.
Term – II
1. Four letter words, Tables of 2 times, 3 times, Bigger number, smaller
number. Name of animals, colors, General Knowledge questions.
Preparatory (Age 8 – 11)
Class 3rd
– 5th
 This phase consists of 3 years duration.
 This learning phase completely focuses on the 8 -11.
 The classes 3rd to 5th grades are included in this stage.
 Activity-based interactive learning and children’s cognitive
development fall under this stage.
 The state government will authorize three languages to be taught
to children under this new scheme. ( English, Hindi & Marathi)
 The role of mother tongue in education and regional language with
be the primary mode for students up to class fifth.

Middle Phase
(Age 11 – 14 years) Class 6th
– 8th
 The middle phase comprises 3 years.
 It includes classes from 6th-8th.
 Here, the educational paradigm shifts to one that emphasises
flexibility in instruction.
 Children will gain a foundational understanding of maths, science,
the arts, and the humanities.
 In contrast to the rote learning methods that have long been used in
our educational system, the NEP 2020’s 5+3+3+4 framework implies
that this school teaching level will strongly emphasise essential
learning objectives.

Secondary Phase
(Age 14 – 18 years) Class 9th
– 12th
 The final phase is comprised of 4 years.
 This learning phase covers the age group of 14-18 years.
 It includes classes from 9th to 12th grades.
 The policy eliminates splitting students into completely different streams,
allowing them to participate in the multi-stream system, a pool with a wide
range of subjects.
 A student can end the long-standing rivalry between the two academic
fields by selecting History with Accountancy and Physics.
 The emphasis of this stage is to focus on developing skills and critical
thinking abilities.
