The study describes the preparation and evaluation of wool keratin-based chitosan nanofibers aimed at air and water filtration using electrospinning techniques. The physicochemical properties were characterized through various methods, confirming the compatibility of keratin and chitosan, as well as the nanofibers' high filtration efficiency exceeding 99.53% for particulate matter. The findings suggest that these nanofibers possess excellent heavy metal removal capabilities and can be used in filtration applications.
