Ethics

• Ethics is a system of moral principles that includes ideas
about right and wrong, and how people should (or
should not) behave in general and specific cases.
• Ethics is the philosophical study of moral. Also
called moral philosophy, it investigates normative
questions about what people ought to do or which
behavior is morally right. Its main branches

person or group in a professional setting or workplace. Like values,
professional ethics provide rules on how a person should act towards
other people and institutions in such an environment.
• Professional ethics include a personal, managerial, and community
standards of conduct expected by professionals in an institution
• They guide professionals in their interactions with clients, colleagues,
and the public, ensuring integrity, responsibility, and ethical decision-

they may be formalized into codes of conduct by professional
organizations.
