Ethics • The word "ethics" is derived from the Greek word ethos (character), and from the Latin word mores (customs). • Ethics is a system of moral principles that includes ideas about right and wrong, and how people should (or should not) behave in general and specific cases. • Ethics is the philosophical study of moral. Also called moral philosophy, it investigates normative questions about what people ought to do or which behavior is morally right. Its main branches include normative ethics, applied ethics and meta-ethics.
