Proposals from Turkey
The document proposes several recommendations for Turkey and the EU to consider: increasing diversity and objectivity in the EU Court of Justice by including non-European members; abolishing visa requirements between European and non-European countries to increase mobility; and establishing student exchange programs to increase cultural awareness between European and non-European nations. - 2. To raise theobjectivity level in the Court of Justice, members of Non-European countries should be included in the jury .
- 3. Visa requirements betweenall countries European and Non-European should be abolished to provide easier mobility.
- 4. It is amust to practice primary and high school student exchange programs between European and Non-European countries in order to provide cultural awareness.
- 5. The EU shoulddo more programmes to let Turkish citizens know about its facilities and benefits of the union by making effective media programmes.
- 6. The criteria EUforced to be done by the candidate countries should be flexible according to the cultural features.
- 7. EU should seriouslyencourage the use of renewable energy sources in place of nuclear energy inEurope
- 8. New energy sourcesshould be taken into consideration such as solar energy
- 9. EU environmental organisationsshould develop projects to make people more conscious about environmental issues than they do.
- 10. The applications ofsanctions about environmental issues should be supervised by the related organisations of the EU.
- 11. We avoid andeliminate the prejudices among the cultural, religious and political differences of all inhabitants in the world.
- 12. The differences inall positions should be accepted as a reality and richness of our lives and people must be trained about this matter.
