  I have donethis through the use of mise en scene by first the use of costumes that my main character wears and the prop he uses. For example, the main character in my opening sequence is wearing black Nike Joggers(1), from Nike store with a red Levi hoodie(2) and casual black Nike trainers(3). The reason for my character to wear this is because I want to portray my character as a teenager so the young audience can link them self to it which I think it was successful. The clothes my character’s wear is very similar to what teenagers wear nowadays which will help to appeal to more teenagers. Another way I have represented this social group is when the rescuer uses the laptop to look on Facebook(4) at the beginning of the sequence. The links to the male teenagers because they often use Facebook as a way of socialising with their friends. (1) (2) (3) (4)

  Another way thatI have represented the social group through the lighting because when my main character is sad I will use a darker lighting(5) to portray his mood and how he feels right now. The male teenagers can relate this to them self because when they are in a bad mood they will see everything really dark. In-addition I have done this through the angles. For example, when my character saw his friend getting smacked by the killer, the eye-line of my main character changes as he moves his head towards the ground, the reason I have to this is because male teenager is afraid of killers therefore if they see one, they probably look down on the floor and try to ignore the killer to escape the situation.   The body languageof my character represents my social group also because when my character walks he always have his head down, the audience can relate this to them self because when the audience is on their phone they will also have their head down to look on their phone. When my character goes toward to find his missing friend, this represent the social group of a teenager because they are naïve so they will do anything, compared to an adult who would just ring the police.

  The second socialgroup of killers is shown through mise en scene . My 2nd character uses costumes to show what a killer would wear. For example, in the scene my 2nd character is wearing black jeans, grey hoodie(6) (with his hood up). I have made my 2nd character to wear this outfit, the outfit is a dark colour and this represents his mood and more important the outfit is good hiding in the dark. Next is the use of lighting, this is where I have my 2nd character in a very dark lighting(7) all the way through the opening sequence, reflect their sinister mood and where they hide. Another way I have represented this social group is by using prop, this is where I got my 2nd character to have a bat in his hands as a weapon, this relates to the killer due to the fact that they will have their own weapon when they are about to murder.   Another way Ihave represented this social group is by using the angles. For example, when my 2nd character saw the main character he looks down on the main character using the angle close up, by looking down on the main character it shows that he has a higher status. The body language is another way of representing my social group because the killer is very sloppy and always has his head down towards the floor, this could link to my social group because killers will scare that people will recognise them so they put their head down to protect them from being seen. For my males teenagers age 15+, I think all the representation is a true representation to them, for example my character wears very trendy, fashion and popular clothes and this represents them because males like to spend money on fashionable clothing as they want look attractive for the killers, I also think everything is an true representation of the real life killers, this is because my killer is an unseen antagonist when they eliminate the victim and in a real life situation the killer would wear a mask this is because they don’t want anyone to know their identity or get recognised by the police.
