  What have youlearnt about technologies from the construction process of this product?

  Photoshop I have learnta number of skills on Photoshop such as: -How to edit a photograph effectively using the different effects on Photoshop such as, hue and saturation and colour and brightness. -I have also learnt to install custom fonts from ‘dafont.com’ this enabled me to have a more professional looking design throughout my magazine as I was able to use different fonts that suited the indie rock genre. -I also learnt that using basic shapes, using the shape tool, enabled me to create a more professional looking out come and design, I also used blending options that came up when I right hand clicked on the layer, I used this to change the opacity of the shape so it still enabled you to see the background, but made the main coverline stand out.

  Quark -Using Quark Ihave developed the knowledge of how to use the basic elements of the software, I found it more challenging to use as it was a lot different from Photoshop. -I learnt how to put images into Quark, you draw a box using the image type box, double click on the box and find the picture in the documents. -I have also learnt that you can use the effects using the ‘fx’ to add shadow and various other effects such as an outline to your text, I did this on my ‘Contents’ title. -I also learnt that I can make both DPS and contents page look more professional by using the guide lines, I feel it is important that everything is uniformed and in line for a finished professional look. -I also learnt that using basic coloured shapes can help to make the page look more finished as the page isn't completely white, it also helps to section the content from each other.

  DSLR Cameras I learnthow to frame pictures effectively and also how to use the camera effectively. Since I started to create my pages I have had to take a lot of photos. So to get the best quality from my images, I took them on a DSLR, this made the look the best quality they could. No white un necessary space above the head. head
