- 2. India is avery large country and we have many cultures and religions here. There are Hundreds of festivals which are celebrated every year with a lot of enthusiasm. There Is joy and happiness all around. These festivals are the ones which unite all the people. In India every region and religion has something to celebrate about. Vibrant colors, music and Festivity make the country come alive throughout the year. All the festivals celebrated have a Special story behind them. We have chosen this topic because India is a land of colors and Festivals and so we thought that we could tell you’ll about some of the major festivals of our Country. Out of the many festivals we celebrate here we have chosen the three festivals, GANESH CHATURTHI, NAVRATRI and ART FESTIVAL of our school.

- 4. The “ART FESTIVAL”of our very own Queen Mary School was hosted for the first time in our school in the year 2012. We had various events right from drawing, painting, craft to jewellery making, pot painting, mask making and the fashion show where we stitched our own outfits. We had students right from standard 5 to 10 taking part in this competition. The competition was based according to our age groups, and so were the events. The competition went on for a week. There were special timings decided for the competition every day during school hours so that we can balance our studies along with it.
- 5. We had judgeswho use to come and judge the various art Events. Through this Art Festival people’s talents and skills Were exposed. We saw so many unexpected and beautiful Artifacts being made by the very own students of our School. We had the first, second and third place for every Event. There was excitement and happiness in the Atmosphere. Everybody was so enthusiastic. We had Certain competitions like the ‘Rangoli’ and ‘Mehndi’ Were held for our teachers too. Every student from form 5 to 9 was a part of this festival which lasted for a whole Week.
