Technology I used to complete my product:

Technology used in the making Technology used to present my
of my product: product and work:

Nikon D3100 Prezi

Photoshop Slideshare

Quark Express Blogspot

Computer Voice Recorder

Windows Live Photo Gallery Windows Live Movie Maker
 About a month before we started our production work I
purchased a Nikon D3100 because I like photography. This
meant that using a SLR camera was completely new to me
but after reading the instructions I became more confident
and took all the images I used on my production work with
this camera. It is very easy to see why SLR cameras are a lot
better than digital compact as the quality of a photograph
is clearly a lot better. During the process of this production
work I have learnt a lot about my skills as a photographer
and understand much better about the quality of the
photographs that are needed in magazines.
 Photoshop is a software I have used for many years.
Therefore I was quite confident on how to use it as
well as using it to edit pictures, however I had
forgotten how to use some of the tools but once I had
used it a few times, my memory was refreshed. I used
Photoshop to construct my magazine front cover, I
found this fairly easy to achieve and I have updated my
skills in Photoshop. I also used Photoshop to finally
edit some pictures, I found a good tool to use is to edit
the levels which can increase the quality of the image
without it looking edited too much.
 Quark express is a software I have never used
before this production, I found it extremely
hard sometimes to find the right tools I
wanted but by the end of the production I felt
like I was confident in using this software.
This means I have gained skills in using
Quark. I think my skills on Quark could still
improve a lot but I am happy knowing simple
skills can create a professional looking
    product using this software.
 I used Windows Live Gallery once I had taken the pictures to
quickly edit the images to make the lighting more prominent
and therefore increasing the quality of the image, this is a
simple software that anyone can use and comes on most
computer therefore it is free and very user friendly.

 Prezi is a really good and professional software for creating
slideshows, it is a good form of media to use however it can
be complicated if you don’t know how to use it. Luckily Prezi
have set up a help video on YouTube which teaches beginners
on how to use the software correctly.
 Slideshare is a conversion site that converts power points and
word documents into slideshows that you can quickly copy
the link. Although this website is extremely easy to use I did
have problems when converting but I quickly fixed it and it
    has worked fine since.

 Blogger is a free blog site. I found this extremely easy to use
and can easily create new posts on my computer as well as
my mobile phone. I have loved using blogger, it shows how it
is so simple and easy to create a simple blog.
 Using a voice recorder for my interview and evaluation work
was really simple. Just turn it on, press record and you can
record any sounds you want, I found it simple to use this
technology and can easily say I have some skills in using a
    voice recorder.

 I used windows live movie maker to complete evaluation
questions, put audio on my blog. I found it really simple as it’s
user friendly, I then quickly uploaded it to YouTube by clicking
the share button and I then could easily copy the embed code
and put it on my blog.
 One of the main things I learnt about during my production
work was Desktop Publishing. The jobs I performed by
completing my production work are; Graphic designer,
Photographer, Layout sub, Proof Reader, Designer and
    Journalist.
 Completing my production work has showed me that it takes
fewer people to produce a professional quality magazine and
on a budget! I have also learnt about my skills and learnt that
producing a magazine was quite easy and something I could
easily do in the future. I have also learnt about which skills I
possess after completing all them jobs, I especially excelled at
being a photographer but didn’t do greatly in proof reading
    my work.
