  I used bothAdobe Photoshop and InDesign to construct my magazine. I found the software difficult to use, but gradually found them easier as I made new versions of my magazine. Photoshop was a good software to use for my cover and contents page as the software allowed me to manipulate all my images as well as being collaborative with different layers, making it easy to alter any specific areas of my work. Photoshop was an ideal software to use as it helped me make my magazine look more professional. I did this by adding effects onto the images and texts such as drop shadows and stroke. InDesign allowed me to set out the page as a double page spread, helping me to imagine what it would look like and set it out accordingly. I was able to type up my article as well as crop and place images onto the file. I also used other software such as slideshare to allow me to put slideshows onto my blog on Wordpress. I also used Prezi to help me make different presentations for my blog. I used these technologies particularly in my research and planning stages of my coursework. These helped me to decide how I would like to construct my magazine.

  On the rightis my cover image before and after I have used Adobe Photoshop to manipulate it. • I used the pen tool to cut around the person in the image so I was able to have a plain background. • I applied a drop shadow to the image to make it stand out against the background • I used the pen tool to select specific areas such as my model’s hair and alter the lighting and colour scheme. • I used the spot healing brush tool as well as the replace tool to remove any blemishes and shiny areas on my model • I also used the healing brush tool to replace areas. I used this on the area As my skills with Photoshop improved, I was able to of the model’s dress where her skin alter the colour of my model’s lips to match the was previously showing colour scheme and masthead. I did this by altering the colour balance and brightness of the particular area I selected using the pen tool.
