  photography • I learntthat the cover of the magazine would look better if the photo was a closer image of the subject, I found that when there was more of the background the image didn’t work as well because less of the focus was on the subject.

  photoshop • Through creatingmy magazine on Photoshop I learnt the correct way to use layers to then give the magazine a more relisting look.

  Challenges • I foundit difficult to remove the background from the image and keep the image looking realistic, I wanted to remove the background because I wanted the subject to sit on top of some writing.

  What I havelearnt • I have learnt to use Photoshop and InDesign to create a product like a magazine.

  • I havelearnt about lighting when it comes to photography. The lighting is helped when in a studio because then the light is controlled but I still like outdoor pictures because they have a more realistic look about them and I feel they help to give a magazine a less edited look. One of the main skills I have learnt in Photoshop is when editing images, I like the way that If an image isn't perfect small blemishes can be edited out giving a more professional looking image. One of the more tricky tasks that I found was getting an image of a person to link in with the background and not look out of place. The main thing have learnt about the editing technology is the small changes that can be made to images.
