  Whilst constructing mymagazine, I came across numerous pieces of software and technology that I had never used before, the first of these being Adobe InDesign. InDesign was the software I mainly used to produce my magazine. Before creating my music magazine, I practised using the software whilst creating a school magazine. At first I found it challenging to use but with practise , it became easier and I was able to create a page independently. After I created my magazine cover, I began constructing my music magazine and spent many hours using the programme to create my cover, contents page as well as my double page spread.The software was incredibly useful whilst creating my pages and was eventually easy to use.

  I also usedblogger during this task. I used Blogger to track my work step by step whilst creating my pages. Personally I believe it is easy to use and after getting used to the website I found it useful and I like the outcome and design of my blog. Also to track my blog, I downloaded the app onto my phone therefore could keep up to date with comments and improve when necessary. I have enjoyed using blogger as it makes my work easy to find as well as to read.

  Personally I foundPhotoshop hard to use sue to the various techniques to edit an image as well as the unfamiliar tools used.After practising various times removing backgrounds on images, I began to find it easier to use. Using the software allowed my images to have a clean finish, due to the method being precise therefore leaving my images looking professional. I also used Photoshop to make my article image black and white by gray scaling it. I was already familiar with this, therefore was able to do this independently.

  One way topresent my work is through a PowerPoint presentation. I am already familiar with this application as it is a very popular software to present work and I have used it various times to display work. PowerPoint is very easy to use and is simple to navigate. When wanting to upload a PowerPoint onto my blog it has to be uploaded onto Slideshare which is an online application. Using this application, I found it easy to upload my work onto my blog.

  Another way ofpresenting my work is using the online application Prezi.This can be uploaded on my blog and present various tasks I have completed. I had never used Prezi before and after spending sometime using the website, I became used to the layout and when revealing my magazine drafts and analysis I discovered that the application can show large amounts of work in a creative and tidy manner.

  To capture myimages for my magazine, as the using a high quality camera would allow my images to have a better quality than using my mobile phone. Whilst taking my photographs I learnt about the use of lighting as well as the distance for taking the images. I planned what images I wished to take through my research therefore I would work effectively whilst creating my magazine.

   During theconstruction of my magazine, I have also used a laptop and also the internet to help with completing tasks. I used a laptop to complete the majority of my work with various programmes on the computer such as PowerPoint and Blogger.Without using a laptop, I would be unable to complete my magazine as well as my research on various existing music magazines.  I have found using the internet and computer easy to use as it is familiar to me due to using it various times in the past. I have come across new and old technology in the making of my magazine, which have been useful.
