Question 3
What have you learned from your
Audience Research
Summary
• What was conducted was audience feedback and what we had done was
we had got a few people which was our target audience to watch our
Trailer and to give us feedback on how they felt about the trailer and what
they believe could have been possibly changed. We had interviewed our
demographic because we thought this would be the best thing to do as
our Movie is going to be aimed at 15-25 year olds so in order to get
feedback which was reliable we had to do so. Once this was done we
collected our data together and saw exactly what the audience felt that
we could have done differently and what they really liked and we took this
feedback into account allowing us in the future to not make these errors
again
Audience Research
• Before creating our trailer what we had done was
conducted some audience research in order to see
what our target audience wanted to see in our trailers.
One of the main aspects that they wanted to see is a
protagonist so we took this upon ourselves and
ensured that there would be a protagonist in our
trailer. Another aspect in which our audience wanted
to see was that there would be a lot of violence
because due to the past trailers which they have
watched from Kidulthood and Shank that there has
been a lot of violence therefore this is an aspect that
they would like see.
Audience Research
• Another question in which we asked the audience was
that which one was there best and most famous Urban
Drama films and without doubt the outright answer
was Kidulthood and therefore this result allowed us
design a trailer around Kidulthood to please the
audience. Another question which was also asked for
our target audience was what they would expect to see
on a poster for a Urban Drama by doing this we could
see the results and allow us to alter our work to make
it look more professional and conform to the real
media conventions of an Urban Drama Poster
Trailer Feedback
• We received many feedback and opinions on
our finished trailer from a range of different
people such as classmates, teachers and even
random people commenting on our Youtube
video
Trailer Feedback
• At first we got our initial feedback from our
classmates and this from where we had
showcased our work in March where we had
discussions and comments which can be
viewed below
Trailer Feedback
• Through the process of us filming and editing
we also received a great amount of feedback
from our class teacher who was very helpful in
giving us her honest opinions on what we
could have possibly improved and what
needed changing in order to make it a better
trailer to get a higher grade and this brilliant
feedback allowed us to make an impressive
trailer.
